Oman and the United States are exploring avenues to enhance their economic relationship, with discussions centered on boosting trade, facilitating Omani exports, and attracting American investment. This dialogue took place during the visit of representatives from the Oman Trade Office in the United States to Oman, where they met with Dr. Khamis Saif Al Jabri, Oman’s Minister of Economy.
The meeting aimed to evaluate the Trade Office’s achievements and outline future strategies for expanding economic ties between the two nations. Key topics included increasing the presence of Omani products in the US market, drawing American investments into Oman, and identifying new areas for trade cooperation.
As part of their economic interaction, bilateral trade between Oman and the United States reached approximately OMR 555.26 million by the end of July 2026. Oman’s major exports to the US include chemicals and aluminium, while the US primarily exports vehicles and transport equipment to Oman.
The discussions also addressed the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead for the Oman-US economic relationship, underscoring the importance of continued collaboration to drive mutual growth and prosperity.
