Oman Sets Two-Day National Holiday for November 2026 Celebrations

Oman has officially announced that its National Day holiday in 2026 will be observed on Wednesday, November 25, and Thursday, November 26. This announcement, made by the Ministry of Labour, allows citizens and residents to plan for an extended holiday break, as it coincides with the weekend.

The National Day celebrations in Oman are deeply rooted in the country’s culture and heritage, with various events and activities taking place across its governorates. These celebrations serve to highlight and promote the nation’s identity and traditions.

The Ministry of Labour’s announcement is part of a broader schedule of national and religious holidays for Oman in 2026. Other key dates include the Sultan’s Accession Day on January 15, Al Isra’a Wal Mi’raj on January 18, the Hijri New Year on June 18, and the Prophet Muhammad’s Birthday on August 27. The dates for the significant Islamic holidays of Eid Al Fitr and Eid Al Adha will be declared separately, based on the lunar calendar and official sightings of the moon.

By releasing the holiday schedule well in advance, the Omani government aims to facilitate better planning for both public and private sector entities, ensuring a smooth operation of their respective activities and work schedules.
